I truly enjoyed creating this piece. I really wanted to focus on my shadow areas. Challenging myself to study the subtle value shifts and to create more believable light.

I am still adjusting to the hue saturation here vs Portland. The colors seem so saturated that my inclination is to tone them down and get back to my greys.

I also focused this time on walking away when I became no longer “excited” by my work. That was hard.
